Recalling their first encounter, Parineeti shared that she met Raghav in London at an award function. “I had gone there to accept an Outstanding Achiever Award in Entertainment, and he (Raghav) had come to accept an award in Politics and Governance,” she said. The actress admitted she wasn’t familiar with Raghav at the time, though her brothers were huge fans. “My brother Shivang told me to meet him. I told the organizers I wanted to meet Raghav… I went up to him. I said, ‘Hello, I am Parineeti, my brothers are big fans of you’. He replied, ‘How sweet’,” she revealed. Parineeti then added that Raghav asked to meet her the next day — an unexpected gesture that completely surprised her.

Recalling the moment with laughter, Parineeti shared that their first meeting was anything but a romantic date. “I agreed. The next morning, I went with three of my managers. The real “filmi moment,” as Parineeti described, unfolded over food. “Suddenly, he said, he was hungry, stood up, and brought a plate full of food,” Parineeti said. “I thought, normally people remain reticent when they meet for the first time… I said to myself, Yaar, this is the right man for me.” She added with a smile, “He brought his plate of food and started eating. I was just watching him. A bell rang in my mind. I said to myself, I am going to marry this man.”

I also put the ‘main’ question – What is Raghav Chadha’s age?” After finding all the answers she was looking for, Parineeti couldn’t help but laugh at her realization. “And then I said to myself (in Punjabi) Byah Toh Main Inaali Karangi (I will marry this man only),” she quipped.

He recalled how, when Parineeti agreed to meet him, he decided to “hit a Mauke Pe Chauka (seize the opportunity).” Their meetings continued after Parineeti came back to India for a film shoot in Punjab, where Raghav was posted. “We met a lot and gradually the silsila (series) continued,” he said. The couple had to be very discreet about their growing bond. Raghav shared that they would often sneak away from their security to meet quietly at gurudwaras. “We met at 8.30 in the night. She completed her shooting, told her security staff to go, and came alone in the car,” Raghav recalled. The two would then spend time together at a friend’s village home, talking in peace away from the public eye.
