Allegedly, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik have been on the outs for quite some time. Last year, reports indicated that the two singers and One Direction alums would be reuniting and going on a road trip. However, according to the latest reports, the docuseries has been entirely cancelled due to a serious altercation between the two former bandmates. Here is what we know so far about the matter.
1D docuseries cancelled amid tensions between Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik
According to The Sun, the upcoming documentary series starring Tomlinson and Malik has been cancelled. The two singers reportedly got into an altercation while filming at an undisclosed location. A statement from the report read, “It spiralled into a row then Zayn made a remark about Louis’ mum Johannah.” Allegedly, the issue escalated after the ‘Pillowtalk’ singer made comments about the fellow singer’s mother, Johannah Deakin, who passed away in 2016 after battling leukaemia.“Louis was stunned and in shock. As he went to move, Zayn then attacked him. Zayn punched him straight in the face. Because he was wearing rings it cut Louis’ head,” the report further revealed that after the punch, Tomlinson was injured and bleeding. This also allegedly resulted in the ‘Imposter’ singer having a concussion after he was taken to a medical facility. Zayn Malik also had to be pulled away from him, as per the report.
Not the first reports of altercations between Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik
Last year, Star Magazine had reported on a similar incident between the two One Direction members, only months after it was revealed that they would be going on a road trip. At the time of writing, neither of the singers nor the OTT platform responsible for the docuseries has officially responded. The three-part series was set to show the two men set out on a road trip across North America and rebuild their bond. The project was announced a year after the passing of their fellow bandmate, Liam Payne. On the other hand, Zayn Malik has also cancelled a lot of his recent UK events following an unnamed illness. He posted photos of himself in a hospital room wearing a gown and thanking fans for all of the love and support that they have sent his way.
