ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) has started the online registration process for Apprentice recruitment 2026 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Interested and eligible candidates can now apply through the official website, opalindia.in. The apprenticeship training will be for one year, and a total of 80 tentative seats have been announced for different trades and graduate apprentice posts across Dahej, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Delhi. The online application process started on April 24, 2026, and the last date to apply is May 15, 2026. Candidates are advised to apply early and carefully check the eligibility conditions before submitting the form.

OPaL Apprentice recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification Candidates must have the required qualification for the post they are applying for, such as:

  • Trade certificate in relevant ITI trade
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT)

The qualification must be full-time and should be from a recognised institution. Distance learning, part-time, and correspondence mode qualifications will not be accepted. The essential qualification must have been completed in 2022 or later. Age limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 24 years

The age will be counted as on May 15, 2026. Candidates should be born between May 15, 2002 and May 15, 2008. Age relaxation:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
  • Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Additional relaxation as per rules

Candidates must apply through the NAPS or NATS portal depending on the post. For Trade Apprentice posts (Serial No. 1 to 4)

  • Apply through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal: apprenticeshipindia.gov.in

For Graduate Apprentice posts (Serial No. 5 to 12)

  • Apply through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal: nats.education.gov.in

Selection process

Selection will be based on merit prepared from marks obtained in the qualifying examination. If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference.
