The M2 CS is a more performance-focused version of BMW’s entry-level M car, featuring weight reduction and higher power output, making it more suited for track use. It has a Nürburgring lap time of 7:25.5 minutes. The BMW M2 CS is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine from the standard M2, but with revised internals and stiffer engine mounts. Output is rated at 530hp and 650Nm, marking an increase of 50hp and 50Nm over the regular model. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed auto gearbox, which sends power to the rear wheels only; no manual transmission is on offer. BMW claims a 0-100kph time of 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 302kph.
The BMW M2 CS features subtle design changes over the standard M2, including a revised grille for improved airflow and a new front splitter. It rides on staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear forged alloy wheels finished in gold, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres as standard, with optional track tyres available at no extra cost. At the rear, the M2 CS stands out with an integrated ducktail spoiler, a larger diffuser and matte black quad exhaust tips. It is offered in four colours: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey and Velvet Blue.Moving inside, the car gets carbon-fibre bucket seats with leather upholstery in M colours, along with carbon-fibre trim across the cabin. Other features include an Alcantara-finished M steering wheel, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and a parking assistant. The standard interior is finished in black Merino leather.
