The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the counselling schedule for the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2026. Candidates can check the complete counselling timetable on the official website, pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.According to the schedule, the phase 1 registration process will begin on July 2, 2026. The counselling process will include online registration, payment of the counselling fee, certificate verification, web option entry, seat allotment, and reporting at allotted institutes.Candidates seeking admission to pharmacy courses can participate in the counselling process based on their TS PGECET 2026 scores. For engineering programmes, both TS PGECET-qualified candidates and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) qualified candidates are eligible to apply.

How to participate in TS PGECET counselling 2026

Candidates will have to complete the following steps during the admission process:

  • Register online through the official counselling portal.
  • Pay the prescribed counselling fee.
  • Upload the required certificates for verification.
  • Attend physical verification if applying under a special category.
  • Exercise web options by selecting preferred colleges and courses.
  • Edit choices during the correction window, if required.
  • Check the allotment result after seat allocation.
  • Report to the allotted institute and complete admission formalities.

Eligibility criteria for TS PGECET counselling 2026

Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions to participate in the counselling process:

  • Applicants should be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must belong to Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • They should satisfy the local or non-local status requirements prescribed under the admission rules.
  • Candidates must have secured at least 50 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories must have obtained a minimum of 45 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.

Only candidates meeting all the eligibility requirements will be considered for admission through the TS PGECET 2026 counselling process.After the completion of each counselling round, TGCHE will publish the TS PGECET cutoff ranks. These cutoff lists will help candidates understand admission trends and evaluate their chances of securing a seat in future rounds of counselling.
